Julius Karoubi's Dripping sides is a mixed media work combining polymer plaster, acrylic paint, grout, and stained pine. The composition is organized into three horizontal bands separated by white grout lines, giving the surface a grid-like structure across which irregular plaster fragments are distributed. The upper and lower zones carry lighter fragments in white, cream, and pale blue against a gray ground, while the central band is dominated by dark brown rectangular forms, with small red and green accents appearing along the bottom edge. Paint has been applied directly to the plaster fragments, and some show visible brushwork, contributing to a matte, porous surface with a shallow but perceptible relief. The stained pine likely functions as a structural substrate beneath the plaster and grout, so the work has a modest physical presence despite its flat, documentable face.
