A tall female figure dominates the composition, her limbs stretched to impossible lengths in warm peachy-brown tones, dressed for a day of hiking and fishing in a green vest, shorts, and boots, while a similarly elongated gray dog winds itself through and beneath her legs in a strange, tender entanglement. Behind them, a verdant valley opens outward through soft greens, ochres, and blues toward a pale sky and distant snow-capped peaks, the careful atmospheric recession lending the scene a convincing spatial depth that only heightens the figures' anatomical implausibility.
