Yves Scherer's Imagine is a large-format archival print mounted behind acrylic glass with a lenticular lens on Dibond, a layered construction that already hints at the work's preoccupation with surfaces and perception before the image itself is absorbed. The composition merges a pale, sculptural human head and shoulders rendered in white and cream with delicate pink blossoms, most likely alstroemeria, whose soft petals, visible stamens, and trailing green stems appear to grow into or through the figure rather than simply rest beside it. A muted, cool palette of whites, grays, soft pinks, and dusty greens keeps the mood suspended and contemplative, while the softly blurred neutral background pushes the merged forms forward as though they exist in a space between memory and presence. The lenticular lens introduces a subtle optical shift depending on the viewer's angle, so the human and botanical elements slide in and out of dominance, refusing to settle into a single stable reading. The work asks the viewer to stand still long enough to notice how fragile the boundary is between the body and the natural world when both are caught in the same act of fading.
