Yves Scherer's Imagine is a large-format archival print mounted behind acrylic glass with a lenticular lens on Dibond and set within a polished aluminum frame, a combination of materials that contributes to the work's layered, almost shimmering presence on the wall. The image presents a young person with long hair caught in the act of blowing bubbles from a wand toward the viewer, a gesture of pure, transient play that becomes visually complex through the dense overlay of pink flowering vines and roses dissolving across the entire surface. Soft pinks, warm flesh tones, and muted greens bleed into one another through what appears to be multiple exposures or digital layering, so that the figure and the botanical elements do not simply coexist but genuinely interpenetrate, the boundary between person and plant left deliberately unresolved. The result carries a painterly, impressionistic quality — romantic and hazy, simultaneously nostalgic and contemporary — in which childhood innocence, the ephemeral nature of bubbles, and the lush abundance of flowering nature are woven into a single suspended moment.
